C-reactiveprotein (CRP) is named because it can precipitate with the C-polysaccharide substance of pneumococcal capsule. CRP is a cyclic pentameric protein, which is mainly synthesized by hepatocytes stimulated by inflammatory molecules such as interleukin-6.
CRP is a classic acute phase reaction protein with a variety of biological activities. The level of CRP in healthy people is very low, and it will rise sharply in plasma when the body is infected or tissue damage. Therefore, it is not a specific marker of a disease. It has been used as a routine clinical test item and can be used as an auxiliary diagnostic basis in the diagnosis of many diseases. Such as: ① tissue injury, infection, tumor, myocardial infarction and a series of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases. ② Indicators of postoperative infection and complications. ③ It can be used as the differential diagnosis of bacterial infection and viral infection.
The immunoturbidimetric reagent developed by Abgree Company with CRP antibody showed a good correlation with a well-known Japanese reagent manufacturer within the linear range of 0.1-320mg/L.
The CRP antibody from Abgree company was compared with the mainstream reagent in the market on the immunochromatography platform, and the linear correlation was 0.5-200mg/L.
