简介:
Anti-ST2 antibody
ST2 was identified in 1989 as an orphan IL-1 receptor. The discovery in 2005 of IL-33 as an ST2 ligand provided new insights in IL-33/ST2 signaling [156]. IL-33/ST2 pathway is expressed in the failing human heart, and its expression is associated with cardiac fibrosis and profibrotic signaling proteins, suggesting a role in profibrotic myocardial remodeling. The ST2 protein has two isoforms: a soluble circulating form (referred to as soluble ST2 or sST2) and a membrane-bound receptor form (referred to as the ST2 receptor or ST2L), sST2 form functioning as a soluble “decoy” receptor, which prevents binding of IL-33 to ST2L.
